Generous cherry aromas with notes of violet and a hint of clove. Expect a burst of intense ripe Morello cherry on the palate, followed by more violet, underpinned by hints of peppery wood. Like all fine Italian reds, 'Le Macchie' comes into its own when served with hearty dishes such as osso buco or sausage lasagne.
